On Thursday, September 29, 2022, CMS formally announced the transition from the National Supplier Clearinghouse (NSC) to two new National Provider Enrollment Contractors (NPEC), Novitas Solutions (NPEast) and Palmetto GBA (NPWest). The contract will transition on November 7, 2022, from the NSC.
If you are applying for a new policy, renewing your current policy, or making other changes that would result in a new certificate of insurance, you will need to be mindful of the contractor transition date to ensure the correct certificate holder name and address is listed on your policy. Suppliers in the West Region must list Palmetto GBA as the certificate holder instead of the NSC. Suppliers in the East Region must list Novitas Solutions as the certificate holder. All other requirements for the insurance documentation remain the same. Specific mailing information for the certificate of insurance is listed below.
